You are kidding me. So sorry. Maybe the Lord is keeping you out of an accident or something that would have happened tomorrow! Enjoy the AC & tv!

I can so relate to that. Just think of the great story this will make for years to come. A new family legend.

I am having such a grumpy day - everyone goes on holiday except us, everybody does wonderful family outings (it is mid-winter and pouring!!!) except us, everybody's houses are clean and tidy except us, everybody's children behave perfectly except ours - real gloom and... then you snapped me out if it with a gasplat of laughter - oh that is the funniest thing in the whole wide world... Thank-you, you are a breathe of fresh air!!! I think I can face boring old bath-time now... I'll read it again before I gather my strength to do the dishes!!!

not surprised at all... just shows how organized you are, able to get out a day early and all. makes perfect sense to me.

That may have been one of the funniest things y'all have done (that you've blogged about). Hil.ar.i.ous.

Since we live at a summer camp, I'm laughing even harder.

    Good times.

I'm sorry to laugh, but that was FUN-NY! It would have been even funnier had you been a week LATE only to discover you missed the whole thing.

Oh, man. I've actually done that before. On the first day (or so I thought) of my sophomore year of college, I arrived bright and early for my 8 am class. I walked the entire length of campus, from the parking lot to the lecture hall. I noticed that the campus seemed unusually deserted... but I managed to convince myself that it was simply because not many people had signed up for 8 am classes. Later, I felt so stupid (how did I get accepted into college anyway?).

I assume you were at least smart enough to figure it out at the camp entrance?

Hope the hotel was worth it! Have a great holiday.

My eldest has never forgiven me for the time he and his dad turned up at school one evening for a meeting - a week early! He was mortified especially as other people were there for something else. Boy did I feel silly but I had a great laugh.

    Thanks for making me smile.

I'm blogging about frugal hols this week as we can't afford to go away but we are having a no-cost or rather a cost of petrol only weekend away to the bright lights of London this summer.

How funny! I can definitely see us doing that!

Also funny because I saw your van when we attended the Bibleman event on Friday!
